HEPA Fan Filter Unit (FFU) is a cleanroom product that has both a fan and a high-efficiency filter inside. Installed above the cleanroom, it collects air by using its built-in fan, pushing it through the HEPA filter to get rid of particles bigger than 0.3 μm, which ensures ISO 5 to ISO 8 standards are followed.


What are the filtration methods for Laminar Flow Fan Filter Units?


Based on the different process requirements of cleanrooms, the Amber Laminar Flow Fan Filter Unit primarily employs the following two filtration methods:


Unidirectional laminar flow air supply


Airflow is uniformly blown downward from the top of the Fan Filter Unit, ensuring that clean air flows in a fixed direction at a constant speed, quickly removing contaminants. This is suitable for pharmaceuticals, electronic packaging, and medical operating rooms.


Turbulent airflow


Suitable for areas with moderate cleanliness requirements but needing rapid dilution of contamination sources. Airflow spreads in multiple directions, using recirculating flow to dilute airborne contaminants.
